Curried Tomato Chickpea Soup

This delicious soup is so, so easy. A can of Italian tomatoes, a can of chick peas, stock and some fabulous curry powder!

GazpachoThis “soup” can be made ahead and left in the fridge for a refreshing meal just about any time. We keep it in a juice pitcher so it’s ready for a quick lunch, an afternoon pick-me-up or a starter for a lazy summer dinner.
Cheddar Shortbread Crusted OlivesAs served at Jill's 2018 Open House. A while back, a customer recommended wrapping cheddar shortbread dough around olives. What a great idea!
Roasted New PotatoesFew things are better than roasted local potatoes, especially when you add one of our many special seasonings.
Lentils with Beets, Walnuts and Goat CheeseI love lentils, particularly the French green Du Puy lentils. These lentils keep their shape and texture much better than most, and the color is more intense. Once you’ve had these it’s hard to go back to any other kind. This salad features sweet roasted beets and goat cheese with the lentils, along with toasted walnuts and a delicious vinaigrette. One of my favourite main-course salads, it can be served with the lentils warm or chilled.
Easy Black Bean SoupThis super easy recipe combines some of our favourite pantry staples. I love the variety of garnish possibilities.
Easy Lentil and Tomato SoupThis is one of the easiest soup recipes I know. Most of the ingredients are put in the soup pot at once and simmered until the ingredients are tender. It's also an excellent vegan and vegetarian soup. It freezes well.
Spicy Rosemary NutsNuts with a memorable kick. Seasoned to perfection, Jill's rosemary nuts have just the right amount of spice. You're guaranteed to eat this delicious snack by the handful - be sure to use a spoon to serve!
Jill’s RatatouilleA Rustic French Classic. Stemming from the Provence region of France, this hearty country dish is a mélange of Mediterranean vegetables. Paired to perfection with bread, pasta and rice!
Potato and Cauliflower GratinGive your family holiday feasts a delicious twist with this classic potato gratin that adds sweet potato and cauliflower topped with breadcrumbs and cheese. Yum!
Kale Pineapple Smoothie ~ Variation 1Start your day off on a healthy note with an energy boosting green smoothie. Many modifications can be made to this recipe depending what you have on hand.
Chocolate Date Energy BallsSuper easy and no-bake. Bite sized and full of wholesome ingredients, these energy balls are the perfect treat!
Asparagus Goat Cheese CrostiniA delicious twist on a traditional bruschetta! Toast topped with fresh asparagus and goat cheese makes for a rustic appetizer.
No-Bake Triple Ginger CheesecakeA holiday treat starring ginger. To take some stress away this holiday season, this no-bake cake can be made ahead, frozen and served semifreddo.
Maple Shortbread CookiesNothing says Canada quite like maple! Local maple syrup sweetens these easy buttery cookies and is used in the decorative glaze.
Cheese FondueThe perfect interactive family meal! Gather round and dip your favourite vegetables, fruit and bread into this warm, cheesy fondue.
Double Chocolate Beet BrowniesAn excuse to eat more brownies. Everybody is looking for ways to get more vegetables into their diet and what better way than in a decadent beet brownie.
RomescoTry this Spanish sauce made of roasted red peppers and almonds or hazelnuts with grilled shrimp, green onions and new potatoes.
Roasted Vegetable SaladWinter vegetables are terrific when roasted and the vibrant colours can brighten any dreary day.
