A beautiful addition to the holiday cookie platter.
1 cup butter at room temperature
5 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 cups cake and pastry flour
2 cups ground walnuts
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp water
icing sugar

In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer.

Add flour, walnuts, vanilla and water until combined.

Shape into crescents. The dough will be quite moist.

Bake on trays lined with parchment paper at 325°F (160°C) until light and golden, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Cool and roll in icing sugar.
