I love truffles. And I’m not talking the chocolate variety. It’s the earthy, funky tuber that most often can be found nestled beneath oak trees in parts of Italy, France — and other places in the world you might not think of.
In the world of specialty foods, it’s hard to top truffles. Truffle oil was the first product we brought into our store more than 23 years ago and over the years the variety has expanded considerably. Now there’s truffle mustard, crème, puree, pasta, cheese and so on. We like to think of Jill’s Table as “truffle central.”
One of our most popular truffle products are our Torres truffle potato chips from Spain... and yes, you can’t just eat one! We have customers who come in weekly for a bag of these amazing chips.

Our chef/culinary co-ordinator Ran Ai put her talents to use creating two fabulous dishes using some of our truffle products. You can check out the recipes below for a delicious chicken and orzo bake using Favuzzi Mushroom Truffle Puree or her amazing truffled scallop potatoes featuring Mountainoak Truffle Cheese and the wonderful Spanish truffle chips crumbled on top.
Ran used the Emile Henry baking dish for this recipe. Emile Henry is one of the largest ceramic manufacturers in Europe and was founded in 1850. The generous, elegant shape offers a mixture of tradition and modernity.
And speaking of “specialty”... many of the specialty items we import only for the holidays have arrived. We have a bounty of Italian Pannetone, our wonderful French Goulibeur shortbreads and decadent fruit cakes from England. And there’s so much more.
