Hamda & Elliot

We had the pleasure of getting to know Hamda Youssef and Elliot de Lange when they came into Jill’s Table to register for gifts for their wedding. Elliot’s mom Alice is a long-time customer of Jill’s Table and Jill is a long-time customer of their family run business, A&B Party and Tent Rental.

What was your criteria for picking out items for your registry? Why did you register at Jill’s Table?

Our parents always taught us to invest in high-quality products, so naturally, Jill’s Table was the best choice. Regarding the criteria, we definitely wanted the basics to run our kitchen as well as nice statement pieces like Jill’s Red Bowl by Emile Henry.

What items are you most looking forward to using from your gift registry?

The Staub Cocotte is definitely a front-runner. We also use our Ballarini Torino frying pan daily.

What was the best part about your wedding?

Our favorite moment would have to be when our entire bridal party was forced to rush into the building as the rain began to pour during outdoor photos.

What venue did you choose?

The London Hunt & Country Club.

Jill’s Table recently celebrated 20 years. A&B Party & Tent Rental is also celebrating a milestone anniversary. Tell us about it.

50 years. That’s a lot of wedding seasons.

This year we celebrate 50 memorable years in business, and third generation family operation & ownership – a rare accomplishment these days!

Each generation of family before us contributed invaluable lessons and experience. Our grandfather was a Dutch immigrant who hand-made every table he rented and taught us the importance of a steadfast work ethic. Our father took over from him and revolutionized our business with hyper-efficient processes and an unwavering commitment to product quality.

Since taking the reins, my brother and I have modernized our product catalogue and sales process, leading to increased bookings. We continue to iterate on our process to constantly improve and adapt – all while paying homage to the customer service and quality that our family has made the hallmark of our business.

We look forward to many more years helping Londoners celebrate life’s occasions!
