Pasta salads are a mainstay of summer pot lucks and backyard barbecues. The following recipe showcases sockeye maple nuggets from West Coast Select, and spiced maple syrup from Proper Heathen.

 ½ lb green beans, trimmed
 2 cups broccoli or broccolini
 ½ cucumber, slice in half lengthwise and then on an angle
 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  cup chopped dill
Spicy Maple Dressing
  cup olive oil

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. When boiling, add a heaping spoonful of kosher salt.

Add the pasta and cook until almost done. Add the green beans and brocollini and continue to cook until pasta is completely cooked. Drain. Rinse lightly with cold water.

Place in a large bowl and let completely cool. When cool, add the salmon, cucumber, red onion, dill and dressing (recipe follows).

Toss well.

Refrigerate until ready to use.

To make the dressing: in a small bowl, combine the Proper Heathen spiced maple syrup along with the vinegar and mustard. Whisk to combine.

Slowly whisk in the olive oil until smooth.

Season with salt to taste.
