Crunchy Garlic ChickenThe secret to this easy and delicious garlic lover's chicken recipe is the Caesar Dressing & Dip from The Garlic Box.
Easy Black Bean SoupThis super easy recipe combines some of our favourite pantry staples. I love the variety of garnish possibilities.
Josie’s Black Bean BrowniesNo one will ever guess that there are black beans in these delicious, moist, gluten-free brownies. For these little miracles we'll be forever grateful to our past resident chef, Josie Pontarelli!
TourtièreThis is a special traditional treat Jill makes every Christmas Eve. The pastry is very easy to prepare and so tender and delicious. Serve this with Jill’s Table Apple Tamarind chutney to make it extra special.
Easy Lentil and Tomato SoupThis is one of the easiest soup recipes I know. Most of the ingredients are put in the soup pot at once and simmered until the ingredients are tender. It's also an excellent vegan and vegetarian soup. It freezes well.
Caesar Potato SaladCaesar dressing and dip from The Garlic Box brings a next-level twist to classic summer potato salad. We’ve been carrying this local company's products for 20 years and this recent addition has become one of our favourites to use as a dip with veggie trays, too.
Tex Mex Barbeque PizzaNo need to heat up the house. What could be easier than a delicious Tex-Mex pizza made with barbeque sauce and rotisserie chicken on top of a pre-made shell or naan bread.
Orange Honey Cake with BerriesThis cake is the epitome of the Mediterranean - but with a local touch. A combination of cornmeal and flour is the base for this cake and olive oil replaces the typical butter. Orange juice and zest give this a sunny citrus flavour and of course, the finishing touch is drizzling the warm cake with a syrup of honey and water. One of our favourites!
Sausage and Pepper FrittataThis easy, delicious and colourful frittata is ideal for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Make it your own by changing the type of sausage or vegetables. If you would like this to be a vegetarian meal, omit the sausage and add more vegetables.
Asparagus MimosaNothing says spring more than asparagus. This attractive dish is ideal for a buffet table or a special dinner.
Spicy Rosemary NutsNuts with a memorable kick. Seasoned to perfection, Jill's rosemary nuts have just the right amount of spice. You're guaranteed to eat this delicious snack by the handful - be sure to use a spoon to serve!
Easy Tex-Mex Black Bean SoupThis is one of the easiest soup recipes and a good example of how just a few key pantry staples can be turned into a quick and satisfying soup.
Apple CakeThis recipe originated from the Budget Cutters Cookbook that appeared in The London Free Press in November 1982. It was a recipe from Mrs. Gordon H. Willert of Thedford. I always fall back on this recipe when I’m in a hurry. I particularly like it because it only uses one bowl to mix the batter and it produces a flavourful, dense, moist cake. This is a good recipe when apples are in season.
Roasted Herb Spatchcocked ChickenSave yourself time and effort with this easy spatchcock chicken. Flattening makes for even cooking and better contact with the lemon bed below. Works best in All-Clad's stainless lasagna pan.
Pasta Salad with Carrot Top PestoPerfect for the time of year when bunches of fresh local carrots appear on market stands, inevitably accompanied by their beautiful bushy green tops.
Fire in the Kitchen Meatball DinnerPerfect at any time of year! Fire In The Kitchen spices are the secret to a truly next-level meatball. We used "3 Alarm" for a zesty kick. Or for that BBQ taste without any grilling, try them with "Smoke Eater".
Jill’s Egg SaladMemories of Jill's mom are the inspiration behind this classic sandwich recipe!
Blueberry Coffee CakeThe following blueberry coffee cake is a great recipe to use local blueberries. It’s not that blueberries are just so delicious and fresh and can be enjoyed with your breakfast or turned into a multitude of desserts — they also freeze well and their shelf life is much longer than many other berries.
Peach Thyme LoafWith an abundance of local peaches in store in August, this is the perfect time to try this loaf! A bit of thyme added to the recipe provides a unique and savoury flavour.
Potato and Cauliflower GratinGive your family holiday feasts a delicious twist with this classic potato gratin that adds sweet potato and cauliflower topped with breadcrumbs and cheese. Yum!
Cauliflower Mac and CheeseIt may not be the healthiest but nothing transports you back to being a kid like creamy mac and cheese. Plus, get your veggie fix by adding cauliflower.
Decadent Dark Chocolate TartMary MacLeod's Butterscotch Shortbread Crumbs makes the tart crust very buttery and Callebaut Dark Chocolate makes the filling smooth and rich.
Kale Pineapple Smoothie ~ Variation 1Start your day off on a healthy note with an energy boosting green smoothie. Many modifications can be made to this recipe depending what you have on hand.
Chocolate Date Energy BallsSuper easy and no-bake. Bite sized and full of wholesome ingredients, these energy balls are the perfect treat!
